The T-Roc is one of Volkswagen's subcompact crossover SUVs and has been manufactured by the German automaker since 2017.

It could be argued that it is the SUV equivalent to the C-Segment Golf. In the range of cars produced by VW, it sits neatly between the Tiguan and the T-Cross, the latter is a little smaller.

The T-Roc was first revealed as a concept car at the Geneva Motor show and then after a three-year wait, launched in Europe. This is actually the 4th sport utility vehicle in the electric market.

As I have already mentioned, the T-Roc is closely related to the Golf, but also to the Audi A3 and the Skoda Octavia (all built on the MQB platform). Following its European success, Volkswagen showcased the car in India in 2020 at their Auto Expo. Another country VW decided to release it in was China, this happened on March 23rd, 2018 but under a different name ‘The T-Rockstar.’ It requires a different name because it is a slightly different car, it’s larger with a longer wheelbase (90mm longer in fact) and 9mm taller.

There are a variety of turbocharged petrol and diesel engines offered with the little SUV. These variations include a 1.-liter, a 1.5-liter, as well as a 2-liter, all of which have 6-speed manual transmissions except the 2-liter version, which has a 7-speed gearbox.

In recent years, the T-Roc has become an elevated vehicle with its modern sleek design, smart interior technology, and assistance system. The Adaptive cruise control ensures that the drive is safe at all times by keeping a good distance away from other traffic on the road. This comes along with Lane assist, Front assist and Park assist. Trims available are Style, Life and R-Line.
