About Subaru

Subaru is prodomititly known for its boxer engines and full-time four-wheel-drive platforms.

This has given much of its range a low center of gravity and unique driving experience, ideal for motorsport and occupant safety.

It was because of this that the Subaru Forester was the only crossover SUV in the 1990s to not have to be fitted with a warning label due to the risk of rollover.

Many people also know the Japanese automaker from their colossal success during the 1990s in the World Rally Championship and gained them a whole new army of fans.

Subaru played on this success and released many performance trims for their lines, such as the Legacy and the Impreza.

In more recent years the company has focused on launching many more crossover SUVs using their generic and heavily engineered Global Platform.

In Japan, the company sells a large number of small vehicles domestically that don’t sell very well in other parts of the world.
