The Mazda CX-30 is a subcompact crossover SUV that has been in production by Mazda since 2019. During this time, there has only been one generation.

It features a 5-door layout with either front-wheel or four-wheel drivetrains. Mazda intended for it to sit between the smaller CX-3 and larger CX-5, depending on the market.

Competition from other subcompact crossovers comes from models like the Volkswagen T-Roc and Honda HR-V.

Engine options consist of the typical Mazda options, ranging from the 2-liter to the turbocharged 2.5-liter engines found in the Skyactiv-G range. Mazda also included the 2-liter Skyactiv-X inline-4, a new model of engine that they manufacture. This new engine is found in the mild hybrid version.

Diesel engines are limited to only the 1.8-liter Skyactiv-D inline-4.

Transmissions for the CX-30 are either a Skyactiv-MT manual or Skyactiv-Drive automatic. Both of these gearboxes are 6-speeds.

Mazda has included an extensive array of trim options. These range from the 2.5 S, Select, Preferred, and Premium. There is also a base, Premium, and Premium Plus trim package for the turbocharged 2.5-liter engine.

Other notable trim options include the Carbon Edition which is available in certain markets. This featured a number of trim options exclusive to this version.

It managed to win the 2020 Red Dot Design Award, among other design awards. It also received several Car of the Year awards from smaller groups like Top Gear Philippines and was ranked as the number one subcompact crossover in 2022 by the U.S. News & World Report.
