The Kia Seltos is a crossover SUV that has been manufactured by Kia since 2019.

This model falls into the subcompact crossover class. It is built on the Hyundai-Kia K2 platform like its corporate cousins, the Hyundai i30 and Accent, among others.

Being a subcompact, the Seltos is considered to be the middle ground between the smaller Kia Soul and the larger Sportage.

Competition from outside of Kia comes from the Honda HR-V, Mazda CX-30, and Subaru Crosstrek. However, due to the popularity of the class, there are many other competitors. Like the competition, the Seltos features a 5-door layout.

Powertrains for the Seltos range from Hyundai’s 1.4 L Smartstream G1.3 T-GDi inline-4 to the 2.0 L Nu MPi inline-4. There are also two versions of the 1.6 L Gamma engine from Hyundai. Diesel options are limited to the 1.5 L U II CRDi and 1.6 U II CRDi inline-4.

Transmissions for the car include a 6-speed gearbox in either manual or automatic. A dual-clutch 7-speed is also available, as well as the Intelligent Variable Transmission, which is a continuously variable transmission

Trim options for the Seltos are LX, S, S Turbo, Ex, and SX Turbo. All-wheel drive comes as standard for all trim levels, apart from the S models. However, the S trim level does have an all-wheel drive as an optional extra.

There has only been one generation of the Seltos as of yet. However, it did receive a facelift in 2022.

Changes from the facelift include an updated mesh grille and other exterior changes like the addition of fog lamps and skid plates.

There is a Seltos SP2i model which is given to any vehicle manufactured in India. The regular SP2 is the codename given to all other models manufactured in South Korea.
