The Chevrolet Equinox is a mid-size crossover SUV that has been manufactured by Chevrolet since its initial release in 2005.
Powertrains include petrol engines ranging from the smaller turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-4 found in the latest generation and the much larger 3.6-liter V6 found in the first generation. The third generation was the first model to offer a diesel engine. This was a turbocharged 1.6-liter inline-4.
Transmissions have been exclusively automatic since the initial release. These gearboxes have ranged from either a 5-speed or a 6-speed option.
Trim levels consist of the base L, LS, LT, and Premier. Both LS and LT are considered middle-tier options, while Premium is the top of the line. Like most of the Chevrolet lineup, older models will still include the LT1, LT2, and LTZ trim levels.
Chevrolet also released an RS model as part of the 2022 facelift. The RS is a sports-focused variation.
Chevrolet announced a fully-electric version called the Equinox EV in 2022. It is expected to go on sale in either 2023 or 2024.
